EMR/EMT

OP Fire & Safety is looking for Day Rate EMR EMT for the organization in Grande Prairie, Red Deer and Estevan area

Requirements:

  • Must be ACP Certified (unrestricted)

  • Standard Oil Field Tickets (H2S Alive, CSTS/PST)

  • Valid Class 5 Operator’s license, with clean abstract

  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening (12 panel test)

  • Must have strong written and communication skills

  • Medic experience is an asset

  • Hours and pay will be discussed within the interview. Candidates will be screened, interviewed and placement will

  • be based on best fit for the individual and OPFS.

Firefighter

OP Fire & Safety is looking for an Firefighter to join us in the casual capacity.

Job Description (Firefighter)

  • Set up and maintain OPFS firefighting and/or shower equipment as described in specific procedures.

  • Perform pre / post trip equipment inspections and provide additional written service requests that detail problems and / or required repairs.

  • Conduct regular safety meetings with emphasis on specific hazards.

  • Orientate all personnel on the location of pertinent safety, shower and firefighting equipment.

  • Maintain an up-to-date roster of personnel on location.

  • Conduct fire / shower protection services in accordance to standard operational procedures.

  • Operate company vehicles in a professional manner, in accordance to OPFS policy, highway traffic laws and any rules of operation in effect on privately owned roads.

  • Maintain a DOT log book.

  • Ensure that all job related paperwork is correctly completed and submitted in a timely manner.

  • Participate in meetings involving large groups of personnel that are operational, hazard identification and organizational in nature.

  • Provide communication to dispatch for the provision of managing assets efficiently.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NFPA 1001 Level 1 & 2

  • NFPA 1081

  • 3Q License

  • NFPA 1002 /S600

  • Wildland

 
Must be physically able to:

  • work in adverse weather environments and conditions.

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, Frequently walk, sit,

  • stand and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.

  • Possess a fundamental understanding of drilling, service and completion environments, with a general working

  • knowledge of associated processes.

  • Must be capable of operating fire pumps and all associated appliances.

  • Firefighter training must meet NFPA 1001 and / or 1081 standards.

  • Requires experience in the use of breathing apparatus and gas detection equipment.
